Welcome! Thank you for visiting us.
Information we collect and why
We collect information in order to provide you with better service – from basic things like responding to your questions, to more complex things like letting you know about upcoming Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf events you might like.
We do this in two ways:
- Information we get when you use our sites: We collect information about the sites you use and how you use them – like Facebook stories that you “like” or tickets that you’ve bought. This can include: your computer IP address, the date and time you visited our website, your purchase history, etc.
- Information you give us: This is all information you give us when you’re asking for something – like a ticket to an exhibition or an answer to a question. This can include: your name, home address, email address, credit card information, etc.
While we use our own AGO tools, we also use data tracking tools – like cookies – to help us see how you use our sites or interact with our content. This is usually something you can disable in your browser if you like, but it might make our sites not work as well for you.
How we use the information we collect
We use the information we collect from all of our online sites to maintain, deliver or improve the services that we offer you.
We sometimes work with third-party groups to help us analyze the information we get, but we make sure they feel the same way we do about privacy and they protect it from any improper use.
Remember, you can always opt of any communication we send by using the “unsubscribe” link in your emails.
